“We are an Australia-based company that in December 2004 decided to further our vision, to take our patented and proven business methodology to the world via an e-learning solution.  We anticipated it would take about one to two years before we were ready to go to market. Primarily due to the efforts and expertise of Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), it is now only six months later and we have people paying us for our e-learning solution all over the world.

“To say our wildest expectations have been surpassed would be an understatement, with regard to the exceptional quality of the solution, its early deliver date, and the enjoyable process along the way.  We owe all of this to TIS.  Additionally, it was done at an exceptional cost. I am into patriotism to some degree, however, we chose to outsource with TIS in India based on a strong recommendation from a friend and are so glad we did.  We have paid one-third of the price we would have paid in Australia and got three times the service and were very pleasantly surprised with the amount of value adding TIS gave to our solution.

“We had been in business for five years, delivering our solution on a hands-on service basis, and we had got to a level where the methodology was almost faultless. So, we thought as the first step in the e-learning cycle, it would be great to get the solution into some sort of step-by-step Web-based procedure. We began to source an e-learning specialist and after extensive research on the Web, we were going dizzy with options.  Luckily a friend showed us something that was being developed by TIS that impressed us and we thought we would get TIS to quote. Initially, we thought it would be good to get the solution out of our heads over say a six-month period in conjunction with TIS and then mould it over the subsequent six to twelve months into something deliverable to market.

“The work done in the quote and draft specifications was done free of charge and surprised us somewhat. The price was exceptional and what they confidently put forward was that they would be able to help us take what was in our heads and covert it to a fully marketable e-learning solution within three months. Given the strong recommendation from our friend, and the affordable price, we decided to move forward, albeit we were still going to be content at the end just to have it out of our heads.

“Both parties had deliverables each week that were centered on a weekly conference phone call and the project moved along nicely.  There were numerous e-mails and uploading from the Web, etc. However, the weekly phone call was the key driver. The phone call would take between five and twenty minutes and would mix niceties with a bit of fun and some serious business. As a note, we have since used this method with some people who are also in our hometown, due to its effectiveness.

“Three months later, we had our solution in our hands and it looked like a shiny new car.  But did it run smoothly? We tried it for a couple of weeks with friends, colleagues and some existing clients. The feedback was tremendous. One astute colleague guessed at what we must have paid for it and their guess was nine times higher! They said it was like a Rolls Royce. We made some minor enhancements based on some constructive feedback and then to our amazement we were ready to go to market, way ahead of schedule. Given that the name of our company and solution is ‘Organised 1st', it is a bit embarrassing to admit we had not even considered getting an appropriate Web portal designed and set up until this point. We simply did not expect what we thought was going to be our first draft to be something that was ready to market so promptly.
